St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Joins Mohawk Medbuy as Newest Pharmacy Member
Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is pleased to welcome St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH) to our growing Membership. MMC continues to experience significant growth in 2022, as more organizations from health care and other public sectors become Members to benefit from the value, innovation and insight offered through our not-for-profit, shared services model.
STEGH is joining MMC for Pharmacy Services, which gives the hospital access to 300+ contracts for more than 4,200 pharmacy products to meet their patients’ diverse needs. “We’re so pleased that St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital has joined us,” said Ally Dhalla, Vice President of Pharmacy Services & Innovation at MMC. In fact, STEGH needed urgent access to one of MMC’s contracts as soon as they joined. “We expedited the agreement on our end so they could get the products they needed at our contract pricing within 24 hours,” noted Ally.
STEGH is a 179-bed facility serving the City of St. Thomas and seven surrounding communities within the County of Elgin. Providing care closer to home is at the heart of this full-service community hospital, which offers a range of services including outpatient care, diagnostic imaging, inpatient acute care, emergency services, post-acute care and regional satellite services.
“We know we’re in good hands with Mohawk Medbuy’s Pharmacy Services team,” said Donna Syrnyk, Pharmacy Manager at STEGH. “Our hospital is committed to delivering quality patient care while achieving operational excellence. Mohawk Medbuy’s thorough understanding of the hospital pharmacy environment, clinical issues and industry dynamics makes them a valued partner as we continue to optimize our hospital’s pharmacy services.”
STEGH joins the growing number of MMC Members benefitting from our value-based service offerings. Since 2017, MMC Membership has grown by 74 percent, and MMC now supports 200+ health care providers in six provinces and one territory.
