New Mohawk Medbuy Partnership with the Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation Focuses on Strengthening Innovation in Aging, Brain Health, and Neuroscience
Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) and the Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI), powered by Baycrest, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together in support of innovation focused on aging and brain health.
CABHI, a Toronto-based global solution accelerator for the aging and brain health innovation sector, provides funding and support to companies and innovators for the development, testing, and dissemination of new ideas and technologies that address unmet brain health and seniors care needs. Innovation in this sector is vital to address the brain health and care needs of an ever-increasing number of older adults, especially those living with dementia.
Mohawk Medbuy is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of hospitals and non-acute care providers across Canada. With this partnership in place, CABHI can utilize MMC’s proven Innovation Program to support and promote new and existing companies with inventive solutions to these complex health care challenges.
The MMC Innovation Program serves as a launch pad for new health care products and services that offer tangible benefits over currently available options. It gives hospitals and other care providers greater access to new and unique solutions without having to undertake their own rigorous procurement process. CABHI companies that meet the program criteria receive a pricing agreement and listing in Mohawk Medbuy’s contract portal, are highlighted in the Innovation Program brochure and Member meetings – and, potentially, participate in MMC’s ongoing vendor webinar series.
In addition, qualifying companies within CABHI’s portfolio will benefit from MMC’s ongoing contract management, clinical input, and guidance on navigating public sector procurement and responding to RFPs.
